Esteem Systems, one of the UK’s leading IT services providers, was named runner up in the Server and Storage partner of the year category at the 2010 annual Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) Specialized Global Awards.

Award winners and runner-ups were announced at the recent Oracle OpenWorld conference in San Francisco, with Esteem achieving success in a new category that recognises former Sun Microsystems partners prior to the Oracle acquisition.

Alastair Kitching, Chief Operating Officer at Esteem Systems, says, “We are thrilled to be recognised by Oracle, in this new Server and Storage award category. This commendation recognises our track record in delivering outstanding customer value, and helping customers solve their real-world business challenges.”

Alan Hartwell, Vice President Technology Solutions & Channels UK Region Oracle, said, “The server and storage part of the Oracle product portfolio is a really exciting place to be in, and offers our partners a huge opportunity for growth. It is an area where partners like Esteem can really add value and create solutions that will make a real difference to customers’ businesses by driving down cost and driving up performance. Being honoured in these awards shows that Esteem has demonstrated excellence in solution innovation, tangible customer success, and strong growth in their Oracle business.”

This recognition comes after Esteem’s recent acquisition of Oracle services provider, Midas IT Solutions in May 2010. This acquisition took Esteem into the Oracle database and middleware market and allows the company to offer its customers a wider range of services across a number of platforms to deliver IT solutions based on business benefits and greater ROI.

Esteem is a Platinum level member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork.
