2010
Esteem completed two strategic acquisitions in 2010, doubling its number of employees to 230 and further enhancing the services it could offer to customers. Mirroring Oracle’s acquisition of Sun Microsystems, the first acquisition was Oracle Gold Partner, Midas IT Solutions. This was followed by IT services and support specialists, SiRViS IT.
2007
Esteem was recognised by Sun Microsystems as their Reseller of the Year for its long-standing commitment to the relationship and its innovative work winning the first large-scale contracts for Sun’s AMD Opteron platform to run Microsoft, VMware and Citrix environments.
2006
Esteem acquired Scottish based, Access Computing who had an excellent reputation in the Scottish market. Since the acquisition, Esteem has continued to build on this by offering enhanced managed services and solutions to customers in the region. This year also saw Esteem recognized as the fastest growing UK NetApp partner.
2004
The successful completion of a Buy Out in 2004 provided the investment necessary to complete the transformation into a full managed services provider and to further expand the business through acquisitions. The company also entered into a new strategic partnership with VMware.
2003
Esteem further strengthened its relationship with Microsoft becoming one of the first Microsoft Gold partners in the UK, just as the program was launched.
2000
By now Esteem was providing a range of advanced services from consultancy, design, implementation, and on-going support and had also entered into a new relationship with Dell to provide professional services direct to their customers.
1995
Having begun to expand its range of services to provide IT installation, configuration and support, Esteem became one of the first companies in the UK to deliver thin-client solutions based on Citrix and Microsoft technology. Esteem went on to become founders of the UK Citrix User Group, the UK’s first Citrix platinum partner and a Citrix Authorised Support Centre.
1990
Esteem entered into a new partnership with Sun Microsystems just as they were entering the UK market. The partnership has continued and today, Esteem remains one of Sun’s leading UK partners.
1985
Esteem was founded as a privately owned company and began by selling Digital hardware equipment.
