At Esteem we take our responsibilities seriously. Whether that’s to the environment in which we operate, the way we conduct ourselves with customers and staff or to the communities and charities that we support. We recognise that we are accountable for every action and for the impact it has on our audiences and wider society.
Our charity work is an important part of Esteem’s ethos to support the wider community. Our employees make a vital contribution towards our very impressive fund raising track record that has topped £55,000.
We’ve raised much-needed funds for we’ve raised much-needed funds for Cancer Research, The British Heart Foundation, the Samantha Dickson Research Trust, World Vision, Help the Hospices and Alzheimer’s Society. Esteem employees go the extra mile for a good cause, so whether that’s taking part in midnight walks or sponsored runs and baking sales, their commitment is tireless.
Our charitable work extends beyond the UK. Through Action Aid, Esteem sponsors a four-year old boy who lives in Ghana.
He lives with his parents in a house made of mud walls and a grass thatch roof. He attends a local school with few educational resources and overcrowded classes. Our sponsorship supports him to change his life for the better, improve his access to education and give him hope for a brighter future.
We take full responsibility for reducing the impact of our business on the environment. Our environmental policy and programmes therefore ensure that we stay on track with our recycling, including paper and hardware, and carbon emission reduction targets through car sharing and mobile working schemes. Our employee ideas scheme encourages innovative green ideas that we can put into practice around the business and reduce our environmental impact further.
