Esteem is awarded a place on the new £6 billion government framework, the ‘Technology Products Government Agreement’. This comes at the same time as winning the N8 High Performance Computing (HPC) framework with the University of Leeds, being chosen as a delivery partner on the new NHS IT procurement framework, the ‘Provision of IT Infrastructure Hardware and Services’, and being selected by EMC (as well as Dell and Hitachi Data Systems) on the National Server and Storage (NSSA) agreement.
Esteem wins significant large managed service contracts with law firm Irwin Mitchell, waste management organisation, Shanks and property investment company, Raven Russia. Over 50% of Esteem’s revenue is now contracted business.
Esteem wins two prestigious awards with Dell – European Partner of the Year and UK Partner of the Year. The awards come after Esteem successfully grows its Dell business by more than 300% year on year.
Esteem completes the acquisition of IT services and support specialist - SiRViS IT Holdings, encompassing Linetex Computers and ATM Limited – significantly increasing their size of business, and improving their service offering to customers.
Esteem is recognised by Sun Microsystems as its ‘Reseller of the Year’ - for its longstanding commitment to the relationship and its innovative work winning the first large-scale contracts for Sun’s AMD Opteron platform to run Microsoft, VMware and Citrix environments.
Esteem acquires Scottish-based, Access Computing, which has an excellent reputation in the Scottish market. Since the acquisition, Esteem continues to build on this by offering enhanced managed services and solutions to customers in the region. Esteem is also recognised as the fastest growing UK NetApp partner.
Esteem completes a successful management buyout, transitioning the company into a comprehensive managed services provider. Backed by Primary Capital, the buyout also brings with it the appointment of new CEO, Joe Connolly. The company also enters into a new strategic partnership with VMware.
Esteem further strengthens its relationship with Microsoft, becoming one of the first Microsoft Gold partners in the UK, as the program launches.
Esteem provides a range of advanced services from consultancy, design, implementation, and ongoing support. It also enters into a new relationship with Dell to provide professional services direct to their customers.
Having expanded its range of services to provide IT installation, configuration and support, Esteem becomes one of the first companies in the UK to deliver thin-client solutions based on Citrix and Microsoft technology. Esteem goes on to become founder of the UK Citrix User Group, the UK’s first Citrix Platinum Partner and a Citrix Authorised Support Centre.
Esteem enters into a new partnership with Sun Microsystems as it enters the UK market. The partnership continues and today, Esteem remains one of Sun’s leading UK partners.
