Sexual health charity Brook consolidates IT to improve service levels.

Brook is a UK wide sexual health charity that provides testing, information, help and advice for under 25’s.

Brook has over 600 employees located in 25 different locations across the UK. Before working with Esteem, each clinic’s IT was operated independently, meaning that the IT infrastructure was difficult to support and manage. More than twelve different IT providers were being used to support the organisation, which led to varied levels of service and lack of best practice across the board.

Geoff Hart, Head of ICT and Estates at Brook said “We needed to find a single IT provider to support all of our locations across the UK, in order to develop a consistent approach and provide a platform which would support the organisation’s business needs. By using multiple providers, who all had different approaches, our IT became very fragmented and difficult to manage. Esteem was able to offer us a service to fit our organisational structure, and support all of our locations with a consistent approach.”

Esteem provides Brook with maintenance support for all of their 600 users. A help desk is in place to support all employees during Brook’s working hours; with engineers available to visit on site should the issues not be fixable remotely. Esteem has also implemented standard Service Level Agreements for all of Brook’s sites, meaning each clinic benefits from a consistently improved IT support service and the organisation faces less disruption from IT issues.

The partnership between Brook and Esteem has allowed the charity to be flexible with their IT, and support a growing team of national roles, who require the ability to be mobile in where and when they work.

Since July 2013 Esteem have provided a fully Managed Service for Brook which includes end user helpdesk and total IT Management.
