Building Society and Estate Agency, The Nottingham, has been working with IT Managed Service Provider Esteem for over a decade to deliver, manage and support their IT infrastructure.
The Nottingham and Esteem’s relationship first began when the company were embarking on one of their largest ever IT projects, replacing all of their core systems.
Head of IT and Change for The Nottingham, Mike Dugand, said: “Esteem guided us through our infrastructure refresh and over the last 10 years we have subsequently worked with Esteem as our IT partner, relying on their experience and expertise to improve our business productivity through investment in IT.”
Esteem has been involved in a number of large IT projects with The Nottingham, including a backup environment, moving the building society’s data from traditional tape storage to physical devices. Mike said: “Our customer data is our most important asset, by moving from tape to device storage, we removed all physical data risks, such as transport and human error.”
“We wanted to do more for the money we spent on IT, and since making these investments and working closely with Esteem, we can now process three times the amount of mortgage applications in the same time, and with less people. Our staff are free to concentrate on business, rather than IT issues.”
Citrix is a key part of The Nottingham’s infrastructure, the building society uses Citrix to deliver all of their applications, whether that’s to employees in branch, head office, or working remotely. Mike said: “There are a number of areas in which we think Esteem are one of the leaders in the country, Citrix is one of these areas.” As a Citrix Platinum Partner, Esteem provides expert consultancy to design and manage The Nottingham’s Citrix environment.
Commenting on their relationship with Esteem, Mike said: “We don’t tend to look for suppliers, we look for partners, and Esteem is certainly a partner we value and trust. Outages are now a rare occurrence for The Nottingham, and we know that Esteem will pull the stops out to resolve any issues.
