Charity support is an integral part of Esteem’s commitment to the wider community. This year, Esteem is focusing on the needs of the 250,000 patients who are helped every year by the UK’s hospices. Our aim is to help make a difference to the lives of just some of these people by working in partnership with Help the Hospices.
help the hospices
Help the Hospices is the national charity for the hospice movement. It supports over 220 hospices across the UK that provide vital time and care for children and adults with a terminal illness.
Hospices have to raise over £400 million every year to provide free care to adults and children. With funding becoming increasingly limited and the need for hospices more prevalent, Help the Hospices provides grants, support, advice, training and information to help the hospices give the very best care to patients, their friends and their families.
We will be working to promote this charity and encourage our employees to get involved; for example, by taking part in fundraising activities or volunteering their time.
employee fundraising
Our members of staff play an important role in making our corporate charity programme a success.
Our employees have an impressive track record of supporting our charity programme. Since 2003 we have raised more than £50,000 on behalf of Cancer Research, The British Heart Foundation, the Samantha Dickson Research Trust and World Vision. Employees also participate in national fundraising events such as Comic Relief and Children In Need along with activities throughout the year to raise funds for local causes.
