Esteem Appoints Specialist Linux Product Manager

20 January 2004

Adrian Hannam

Esteem Systems, one of the UK’s leading IT infrastructure solutions providers, has appointed Adrian Hannam as Linux / Unix Product Manager to its team of experts.

The appointment marks a significant move for Esteem in its drive towards developing the Linux/Unix side of the business, and supports industry analysts’ predictions of massive growth for Linux technology over the next twelve months.

Adrian, who previously worked for Pipex Communications as Channel Account Manager, brings with him a wealth of knowledge of the IT market and boasts 11 years experience of working in the industry. Previous roles have also included working as Senior Channel Manager for Sun Microsystems and various sales management positions at companies such as AppSense Ltd and WorldCom.

Reporting to Esteem’s Commercial Director, key responsibilities for Adrian will include formulating and driving new types of IT solutions on behalf of Esteem; providing pre-sales support and post sales market analysis; building customer and supplier relationships; carrying out competitor analysis and investigating new market opportunities.

Commenting on his appointment Adrian said: “I am delighted to have been offered this position and am excited about facing the challenge and really developing the Linux/Unix side of the business for Esteem. I have a lot of experience in the industry and believe this can benefit Esteem immensely.

“Part of my role will also involve providing specialist support to the sales teams to help them deliver more effective solutions to our customers and this will allow me to build relationships with Esteem employees and clients quickly and effectively.”
