A Smart Move For Esteem’s Planned Growth
25 March 2004

Esteem Systems, one of the UK’s leading IT infrastructure solutions providers, has appointed Joanne Smart as HR Manager.
Joanne joins Esteem from The Press Association where she worked as a senior HR Advisor. Previous to this Joanne was employed as an independent HR Consultant providing HR services such as employee training, appraisal systems and the creation of in-house HR departments to a wide range of medium and large sized companies.
Working for Esteem, Joanne’s responsibilities will include recruiting new employees; supporting existing employees and ensuring effective internal communication throughout the organisation. As part of its plan for sustained growth, Esteem currently has twelve open vacancies, so Joanne will be kept busy from the start.
MCIPD qualified, Joanne brings with her a wealth of experience and expertise which she will be using to fulfil her objectives of providing career development advice to employees; sourcing and promoting training and ensuring best practise throughout the company.
Esteem Systems employs over 100 members of staff and is focussed on building long-term careers for individuals with drive and ambition. Accreditations within the industry are of vital importance and this means employees have to be highly trained and developed to deliver a standard, high level of service.
Commenting on her appointment, Joanne said: “Esteem already has some excellent procedures and policies in place to support employees and the company’s Investor in People accreditation is testament to the strength of these policies. It is an exciting opportunity for me to join a company where I am pushing through developments and improvements rather than starting from a very basic level.
“Esteem is proud of the role HR plays within the business and is very focussed on supporting employees and providing them with the right training and a safe working environment. This is refreshing and motivating for me and I am keen to get started with development plans I have in mind.”
