Esteem to Maximise Scottish Market with Acquisition of ACCESS Computing

Esteem Systems, one of the UK’s leading IT services providers, today announced it has acquired privately held, ACCESS Computing Ltd, Scotland’s leading Sun Microsystems partner based in Livingston.
This acquisition will enable Esteem to build on ACCESS’ existing position in the Scottish market by offering additional solutions based around Citrix and Microsoft technology and an extended range of associated project and managed services.
“With this acquisition, we are able to build on Access’ excellent reputation by offering enhanced services and solutions to customers in the Scottish market. It will also bring new opportunities to employees” said Joe Connolly, Chief Executive of Esteem.
John Livingstone, founder and previously Managing Director of ACCESS Computing will now retire from the business to pursue other interests, and going forward ACCESS will trade under the Esteem brand.

In late 2004, Esteem completed a management buy out and outlined a strategy to expand services to customers via acquisitions to complement the existing business. This is the first acquisition since that time and the company is continuing to look for future acquisitions to achieve its strategic goals.
