After working with Esteem Systems the NHS Trust has reduced 247 servers down by 30 per cent, saving space, driving down overall server maintenance costs, improving performance of critical clinical systems run by the NHS Trust and reducing server build time from 24 hours to a matter of minutes.
The Carmarthenshire Division of the Hywel Dda NHS Trust urgently needed to address its information management and technology infrastructure which was a drain on power, space and cooling resources and had a significant lack of disaster recovery.
Working in partnership with Esteem, United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust and Lincolnshire Shared Services have successfully implemented a new messaging and collaboration infrastructure and migrated over 17,000 users.
By introducing a new application infrastructure and adopting a Managed Service approach to managing its IT systems, the Trust now provides reliable, secure on-demand access to clinical systems for 4500 users.
