What does the Microsoft and NHS Connecting for Health (CfH) new enterprise agreement mean for Trusts like yours?
The deal is a renewal of the agreement Microsoft put in place with the NHS six years ago. While the previous renewal in 2004 focused on price and getting the best possible deal for the NHS, 2007’s agreement also gives NHS organisations access to some of Microsoft’s latest products – including the Vista operating system, Office 2007 suite, Enterprise Client Access Licences (including SharePoint, SQL and System Center) and the Home User Programme.
Under the agreement, Trusts are also entitled to new product versions, support and consultancy services. With services such as Esteem’s Desktop Deployment Planning Service available through Software Assurance at no extra cost, you can experience the benefits of your new technology faster.
