green computing

Better for your data, your budget and the planet

Green Computing

Office equipment has been identified as the fastest growing area of energy consumption for business, accounting for about 20% of total energy use.* According to a Gartner Poll, 69% of data centers are considered power, cooling and space constrained. Servers continue to consume more power and generate more heat.

This doesn't mean that you can't deliver the services your users need and be eco-responsible. You can. You don’t have to sacrifice server and systems performance to environmentally responsible; you can reduce energy and data center costs while continuing to meet the demands for your users and your business.

We believe that by reviewing your existing infrastructure and your strategic aims, we can identify an economically and ecologically responsible solution to make green computing a reality. For example:

  • Careful reuse of your existing hardware and assets could provide you with a disaster recovery site or could be redeployed in a thin-client computing infrastructure
  • Investments in new energy efficient hardware could give you the processing power you need while at the same time using less space, cooling and energy
  • Strategic consolidation and virtualisation solutions could reduce server sprawl, saving you both energy and space
