What is the ELA Licensing and Pricing?
Under the framework agreement, between the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) and Oracle, UK public sector organisations can procure an ELA and qualify for a 80% discount.
The ELA is a licence for site wide use of Oracle technology. There are no restrictions on either the number of Oracle instances or the specification of the hardware for deploying Oracle Enterprise technology. What’s more, the software can be deployed in any version, against any hardware platform and operating system.
The licence can be purchased at Standard or Enterprise level of the software.
The ELA has a minimum licensing level of 500 named users, so Local Authorities can qualify for this as either an individual organisation or as part of a regional partnership.
