Esteem’s Capacity Planning Service gives you a clear picture of your server environment and systems’ performance. Our comprehensive capacity assessment uses VMware Capacity Planner to examine your IT assets and identify how your systems are performing; giving you the information you need in order to evaluate strategic infrastructure initiatives such as virtualisation and consolidation.
This service includes:
Consultancy – During the first stage of the service, we will outline the scope and objectives of the Capacity Planning Assessment, identify the servers to be included and answer any questions.
Installation – As part of the service, you will need to provide a server with 2GB disk space to host the software. Once VMware Capacity Planner has been installed on your server, the record collection is checked and final checks are made before the assessment begins.
Analysis – Following the assessment, Esteem will analyse the data collected, document the findings and produce a comprehensive overview of all scenarios.
Review & Final Presentation – Your capacity planning service ends with an on-site presentation of the assessment’s findings and evaluates the options available for virtualisation and consolidation strategies.
As a result of the service, you will have improved visibility of your IT environments and systems’ performance enabling you to evaluate virtualisation and consolidation strategies.
